2011 has already been a hectic year for Myles following his recent success at the Ginetta Winter Series – Myles is now officially signed up for the 2011 Ginetta Junior race series (See Race Calendar) and the car has been ordered.
A deal has also been signed with Westbourne Motorsport for the 2011 season where they will be joining the Ginetta series alongside their current Renault Clio team led by the ever present and energetic Richard Colburn and his driver coach Ed Pead.
A spangly new Ginetta Junior in Westbourne Motorsport livery will be ready for preparation and testing in late February/early March sporting the Number 95 (Lightning McQueen – eat your heart out!) and this car will also be sporting sponsors’ logos – Myles is delighted that following his efforts in the last 12 months, he has retained the support of last years’ sponsors and will also be adding some new names to the car – all will be revealed.
Myles is also now 16 (yesterday) and is therefore able to join a gym allowing him to further develop his fitness routines to ensure that he hits the grid in April at Brands Hatch full prepared and fit – ready to race! Myles is also looking to join the MSA Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence in September – Myles is keen to have a career in motorsport and a strong showing in this year’s Ginetta Junior Series will certainly go towards helping Myles achieve his ultimate ambition of becoming a career professional.
This is a key year for Myles and for Westbourne – after Myles’ close runner up position in the Ginetta Scholarship late last year and a great showing (4th in Championship overall) in his first Ginetta Winter Series – Myles is even more determined to push himself and hopefully gain some early traction in this series.
